How happy are you with our service today?

Yet another customer service implementation within the fast food industry.  Chowking, a popular Chinese fast food restaurant has implemented a text messaging service to receive feedback from their customers.

As you enter any branch (though I have yet to confirm branches outside of Manila), you will notice a stand that contains a pieces of paper on each table.  It states, “How happy are you with our service today?”  At the back, you will find their rating that spans from 1 to 7 and five areas that you can score.

Rating:
1 – extremely poor
2 – very poor
3 – poor
4 – below average
5 – fair
6 – good
7 – very good

Areas to score:
AManagers taking care of customers. Whether they are friendly, supervise dining operations and if they make you feel important.

BClean and well-maintained toilet.  Does it have running water, tissue and liquid soap.

CFriendly and efficient cashier and crew. Are they courteous and attentive and if your orders were served fast and if it was complete.

DGood food quality.  Is it delicious, hot, right proportions and appetizing.

EClean and well-maintained store.  Does it have a comfortable dining temperature?

Now, how do you get to send all this information in a text message?

Their format as follows:

Store Code. Your Name. Codes & Rating. Other comments. (e.g. 1234. Juan de la Cruz.A7B1C5D7E1.)

Depending on your mobile service, you can text it to:

0918-8882469 for SMART, Talk N Text and Addict Mobile
0917-8882469 for GLOBE, Touch Mobile and Sun Cellular

I’ve always wondered how this will help me as an individual customer.  Does it get dumped in someone’s desk and perhaps be forgotten?  Is there a team that makes sure that any changes are made? Apparently it does.

A friend of mine decided to use it during one of his visits.  Unfortunately, it wasn’t because he was delighted with the branch’s service but the opposite.  Long story short, he texted and interestingly enough, the store manager walked up to him, as he was finishing his meal and apologized.  He also received a call from a representative the day after.

This is good to hear.  At least I know that changes won’t only happen on a macro level per store, but acted upon immediately.

Your branch in Valero cor. Villar has no softdrink & water to drink. It happened not just once but twice. We ate at 10:30pm with my colleague(s). Im working in SGS Gulf Ltd. (ROHQ), 20/F Citibank Bldg. Be sure that you served the food hot & with water to drink. Poor service ha!

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to call your attention, report and file my complain regarding the incident happened last night, 24 April 2009, around 7:30 at Chowking Startmall Alabang while having my dinner in your fastfood chain. It almost put my life in a serious condition if I was not able to spill-out the metal wire “Alambre” size about an inch ½ or almost one inside my mount.

I ordered one of your best noodles which is spicy beef wanton and consumed about half of the bowl when I felt something pointed metal while chewing the food and the next thing I felt that a pointed thing hit my right gum and almost swallowing it but due to the pain I felt immediately spill it out inside my mount. And it came to my surprise when I look the thing I spill-out in my mouth is a metal wire surrounded with green cabbage vegetable.

I immediately call one of the dinning service crew on duty that time and showed him the metal wire. He informed me that he will replace that noodles and immediately went inside the kitchen brought with him the noodles I ordered. About a minute the new food served on my table.

My disappointment, no store manager approached me and check my condition nor seek an immediate apology on that moment. I don’t know if the service crew didn’t tell to his manager the incident. But I doubt. No new food will be served as the replacement on my table without his approval first. The manager named Joselito Madelo just came over when I asked the crew to call the store manager on duty and that’s the only time I heard his apologies. And the manager informed me that he will do an immediate investigation and already taken a picture shot of the metal wire found in the noodles I ordered for report documentation purposes.

I knew and understand that incident is not intentional nor intended to happen, but just purely a coincidence. But this is not an acceptable excuse because it threatened seriously my health or my life if I was able to swallow that metal wire. The size of that thing is not a joke. It could be to fatal.

My intention is not to terminate the crew or any people who prepared my food. Nor give them a disciplinary action. All I want is an assurance that this incident will not happen again in the future. And the Chowking top management will do an immediate advice to do a store check and see if the store facility or the food preparation practices are compliance on the company’s standard procedure. Educate as well the store manager on duty on how to response with care and urgency with that kind of scenario. He should provide an immediate check. Don’t wait him to be called by the complainant or the victim. The manager’s who attended me seems to be relaxed and care not to serious on his side because nothing seriously happened to me. But do we need to wait for a more serious situation to happen first before we will be alarmed and act to seriously on the situations? Maybe he care, but not to convincing, because the true intentions are to cover-up first the incidents. I ask him to make an incidents report and singed by him for me to forward it in Chowking head office. He insisted not to do give anything. Nor the branch manager Bench Madulin disagreed to provide any reports. He just wants to give the contact number 09209126997 and raise my complaint. I felt that nothing would like to document my concern so the last option is to call that number which I did and discussed with her (the customer service person who attended my call) my complaint. I send her as well a SMS to document what I have said.

We are talking a life here and possible to be to more fatal if such incidence like this will not be attended to seriously. Let’s not wait another incidence that could hurt the good reputation of your food chain restaurant. Looking forward that Chowking top management will act on my complain and make a strong actions to ensure that no more incidents like what happen last night will be repated in the future. Thank you for your attentions.

Very few instances that I dine in, Usually sa cube ko ako kumakain to do other work stuff.
Tonight i decided to have a bowl of congee.
Luckily, I was informed after 15 min of waiting, di na umabot yung order ko, I only have 1 hr for lunch break like all others.
I had my order replaced then, another 15 min, saya diba.
Then initially i ask for dine in, i was given food in a styropack.
Gutom na ko at ubos na oras ko, so i decided to call it a lunch.
Guess what, it was a cold food, I’m not sure if it was an order from another customer who left out because he cannot wait any longer and he had to get back to work with an empty stomach.
Ako i went back to work din, with a cold one.
Observing the place, one manager on the counter, ewan ko sa kanya, two crews on the dining, going up and down the stairs, missing uncleaned tables often leaving the tray with used utensils on top of the chairs unattended, while other customers are dining on the same table.
No Cups for water, no condiments, and worst, NO CONGEE.

The point is, people go to you because your food is good, your price is pang masa, and they have a need you have to provide because people trusted and chose you.
Kung kulang kayo sa tao, do something, like bawasan nyo yung mga upuan para konti lang ang magdine-in.
If paubus na yung Congee, let the couner know how many serving is still available until the supply last, try playing Cafe World sa Facebook.

Seriously, that is how another store lost their place here, Slow customer Service, cold food, indifferent crews, no straws, no tissue, no gravy, and now, no business.

HI. We’ve just been to Chowking Tikling Taytay Branch. We would like to have a midnyt snack. We just live accross the street so we’re one of the avid customers. So… it’s quite disappointing that after waiting for almost an hour for our order, we found out that they lost our order, hence, they were not able to prepare it. It’s 2:00 in the morning, so the customers are really really few (siguro mga nasa anim lang yung customers). I think, the cook was able to prepare our food.. naibigay lang nung bading na crew dun sa dalawang kumakain na nagpapalit ng order. Then, nawala na yung paper ng order namin.

Actually,we can let it pass. However… what frustrated and irritated me is that ‘gay’ crew… sya na nga may kasalanan bakit nagulo yung order….HE DIDN’T EVEN MANAGED TO APOLOGIZE! AND INSTEAD HE WAS SNOTTY. Wala syang galang, nung hiningi nya yung receipt nung nagfollow up, and when I said, “nawala nyo order namin, e di magaantay na naman kami, he didn’t answer, instead, INIRAPAN PA NYA KO! Rameed, ramere or ramdere…it starts with an R but I don’t exactly got his name because of the exhaust and severe annoyance he caused me. And the fact that I’ve starved. I refunded the money because I don’t want to wait further. I’m sure, isang oras na naman kami magaantay. When I was saying, “di bale na, refund ko na”. he was SARCASTIC…why.. is it because our order doesn’t cost much? As I’ve said, we live accross. And we normally spend big there. It’s only now that we ordered a budget meal, but most often than not, we’re on ala cart (esp for take-out dinners).

I know that I should forgive for the sake of the recent Christmas season, but somebody has to teach him some manners. Doesn’t Chowking have a training on how to deal with Customers with RESPECT? Afterall, the customer should always be right, right???

by the way, yung 6 customers, parang kasama na kami dun sa bilang, so imagine, sobrang konti, hindi nila na-managed. ok na sana if only hindi ako sobrang ininis nung crew na yun.

Thanks Nina for sharing your experience with Chowking. The stores are just not consistent or probably they lack training especially the managers / supervisors.

I’m hoping with the increase number of stories and experiences posted here, Chowking will soon notice.

Hi Grace. One cause is definitely lack of training and I will have to blame the supervisor or manager in charge of that shift and branch.

I advise that you don’t let go of the situation because as a customer the situation should’ve been addressed by the branch. You ordered for food and the expectation is that you get your food based on the quality that you expect and what they offer. Considering there were only a few customers, the service is unacceptable.

My suggestion is to use their customer service platform (via text or through the branch manager) and have them address it. The service crew that didn’t treat you with respect should be reprimanded and let him realize he needs to treat a customer right.

Let’s help each other to elevate the standards.

it shall be the first time for me to open this address as i and my husband has been fed up with how we almost always experience some bad things with chowking; from the way we are met from the entrance to the way the crew give their service, and the worst, the quality of the food they serve. i thought, i and my family were always the only one to meet the worst of chowking . . . but upon opening this space, we learned that a lot have experience the same if not worst than what we have experienced. it just make me think why in the world is this franchise CHOWKING is not yet closed when they could have killed a lot of people from the food that they have been serving. i have experienced being served with noodles plus rope ( the one they use to tie the uncooked noodles) to being served with half cooked ham (only one side is cooked) to being cheated with the price on your receipt. (please do check dear customers…) i have had one too many experience of this.

just tonight, we have experienced one. the difference could have only been P13.00 as my husband have checked. we ordered a set meal with drink priced only for P15.00 ; however, we were charged the regular price of P28.00. worse, the set meal ordered by my husband had the drink priced only for P19.00 (as they said) yet still we were charged the regular price. to account, we lost P22.00. and still the worst, when we were given a change of P25.00, i asked my 3yr old daughter to give back the excess of P3.00 as we always teach her the value of honesty; worst things happen, when my husband called the attention of the manageras they could not understand my daughter, we were told that we were still shortchanged. how they computed? nada…how the hell… if all customers don’t check, the owners of these establishments will surely be enriched by these actions. multiply our shortchanged by an average of only 100 transaction a day (a very conservative computation) will surely give them great income. my husband plans to report this incident to SEC. we may have been shortchanged with service, but to be shortchanged with HONESTY? they can do us all the harm that they could possibly make. . . but we thought otherwise. from now on, we are boycotting this establishment…they may not be harmed, business wise as we are only three in our family. but at least, we ended our agony . . . and our near death…

we still have a lot of these bad experiences. i shall give it some other time.

Does ur tag line “freshly cooked” only apply to delivery service? So true! Chowking dela rosa cr rufino serves cold shanghai, cold veggie soup (that costs P5) and they’ll also provide you a SUPER DIRTY spoon & fork.
If u try to call their attention, a snotty and uncaring manager will assist you.
After a tiring day in the office, this is the kind of food & service you get from Chowking. Masang presyo + malamig na pagkain + maruming gamit + dedmang crew = Chowking

Im calling the attention of the manager of the chowking in BONI avenue branch i went there yesterday (march 04 2010) at around 3:30pm im very dissapoint when i show my BPI credit card receipt to the counter lady according to her that promo is end already then i told her that i read the promo then she go to her supervisor i was supprised when i heard that her supervisor he said that check in the office how come the suppervisor dosen’t know until when is the promo the lady counter go back me and she said is this for take out or for dining i told her that is for take out then i wait for 30 mins. when they give me my food i did’nt check the food co’z im in hurry i left my car with the engine’s On when i rich home i check i was realized that the food gave is less well please tell to the suppervisor that he/she is suppposed to aware of this matter im very very very upset i supposed to bring back the food that they give but im just waiseting my time please traine your crew and the suppervisor how to become nice to the customer i don’t want to go and eat in chowking restaurant on the service that they give to me i wake-up already .

I’m a regular customer of chowking and spareribs is my favorite. I was so hungry and craving for this dish so I decided to call for delivery, and then came to my disappointment when my favorite dish tastes like sea salt. I called again the delivery hot line to ask why my food tastes like that and the representative replied ” it’s not my responsibility to monitor the foods that are coming out of the branches”. You should implement and monitor your standards strictly. I just threw the food!!!

Ivan, I suggest you call the center again or at least the branch that delivered your food. They could’ve given you a refund, since I don’t trust getting the order replaced. I’m a bit paranoid with food deliveries especially when someone complains. So I would suggest a refund instead.

I believe the call center is outsourced and it disappoints me that this representative told you they are not responsible. Either lack of training or their processes are not just aligned with the main office. Did you get his/her name?

Thet – if a manager doesn’t know how to take responsibility, go higher. I would normally ask for the full name, branch and call the attention of the main office.

The text service I believe is connected to their customer service team. Not sure though how much of it is really addressed. Interesting enough, I haven’t seen these flyers for quite some time, even if i was just looking out the window.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been in their store because of the service. Besides, there are far better restaurants out there that offer better Chinese food.

Thanks Jam for listening. Their text service does not seem to work, i’ve tried it in Iloilo. If the manager dont feel the need to attend to my complaint, why shld I waste my time raising it to the main office. I’ll just walk away and share my experience to all. I hope Chowking reads this.

I just want to concerned one of your branch located in tikling taytay rizal this happened march 30 which is today. Im so dissappointed with your staff I really need to use your comfort room because Im really having a bad stomach ache so I need to use it so Im so comfortable that they’ll understand me even if I use it for about 20 minutes because masusuka n ako and I dont know what is the reason bakit sumasakit hindi ako makaalis kase pabalik balik ang sakit..Im a fan of chowking I love your food but sana magalang din yung mga staff sana they know how to respect nasa hospitality industry p naman sila.HRM graduate ako so I know guest or customer is your no. 1 priority.Witout my knowledge pinag-uusapan n pala ako ng mga staff s labas even the guard do they know how to approach a customer in a nice way? I guess hindi, and without their knowing nasa labas ang friend ko at dinig n dinig ang pinag-uusapan nila.Tao din naman sila at nakakaramdam ng ganon sakit.Kung ano ano p ang inisip n baka daw kung ano ano n gingawa or baka gang my God what a nice thinking.They must know how to respect and how to give excellent customer service.And I know hindi lang ako ang nagcomplaint s branch n to,ang BABASTOS.I hope you’ll gonna do any action regarding this matter.I hope you’ll gonna stick in this concept that customer is always right.

im a big fan of chowking but wat i experince in comembo chowking i was so embarass.last march 31 2010 i odered a pork luriat ung pork luma sobrng my lasa na pro ndi aq ng complain i eat pancit and rice but when the time i got finish to eat the rice i taste a clorine and then i call a crew and let him to smell the rice he said mam anung ggwin q d2 papalitan q ba ung rice..ndi man lng tinwag ung manager.. sna nman bigyn ng pansin ung branch ng comembo kc msyado na cla balahura.. maraming lamok na malangaw pa at the other utensils are not properly wash..the manager was always make patayo tayo ndi mn lng mng greet ng customer.. hope u have an action for that by the way i have a reciet to prove it that i ate last march 31 thank u

the last time na kumain ako sa chowking smlipa parang shooting ang aking nasaksehan,isang babae ang sumugod sa kahera na nagdulot ng eskandalo,at ang kahera parang wlang pinag-aralan sa knyang pagmumura pagkaalis ng isang eskandalosa ring babae kahit mahina lang ang boses ng kahera mapupuna sa knya ang kawalan rin ng attitude.ganun nyo ba itrain ang tauhan nyo?

would like to post a comment. your branch at Fairview Centermall (0954)which was operated by UNI QLO Foods Inc. I used to be a regular customer of that branch however, lately i have experienced very slow service. this is my second time that i ordered for take out due to my busy sched at the office i have no time to cook for my children. as i arrived home i just noticed that some of my order are not served. twice i have experienced such and i think i have to tell na. poor na talaga ang rating nyo when it comes to service. mabagal na nga ang pagbigay ng order kulang kulang pa? pano pa kami balik sa chow king kung ganyan naman palagi.

Hi Joel. Any reason why you think he shouldn’t be a manager? If you could also cite the person’s name here or at least the time you had your experience at the branch. I’m thinking they might have a few management trainees. It would be good to focus on that person so that management can do something about it.

My suggestion is to also call the manager’s attention. Would also like to know what happened.

At 2:40 this afternoon, my family had a merienda at Chowking Camins, Zamboanga City and while my wife was eating the toppings of her halo-halo, suddenly she noticed a strand of plastic twine on her mouth and this came from the halo-halo she was eating. We brought this to the attention of your waiter and immediately it was replaced with a new order. The manager, in the name of Ken apologized and he informed us that he will investigate the matter. My wife lost appetite, so she requested that the replacement be transferred to a container for take-out. In our office, while my daughter, whom we just brought to the hospital for check up, was eating the take-out halo-halo, she again found a small stone mixed with it. Is this Chowking now? No longer practicing quality control and already very unsanitary? I may bring this incident to proper authorities who will take appropriate actions against your establishment. I have with me the items to serve as our evidence. You can send me your email ad for me to send picture of our evidence.

Your pancit canton in your branch at grenhills in front of vira mall taste disgusting. even the customers next to our table complained to the manager but the manager passed the responsibility to the cashier. it looks like left over. lasang sunog na bawang at gulay hindi lasang canton. sabi nga ng another customer, “mas masarap pa ang lucky me”.

I would like to share a very bad experience we had at chowking kabihasnan last dec. 25, 2010. A wedding reception was held there. A few usherettes and me were the first to arrived to see to it that everything is in order. We first noticed that the number of chairs is short of the 80 persons as agreed, so I call the attention of the only person who was there. His name is Fort who happens to be the manager. And he accomodated our request. Then I asked about the audio if its already prepared and ready to use. That was the time that he got irked and raise his voice saying ” ako lang mag-isa dito”.
Suprised as I am, I answered back that its not our problem. As he was still preparing the food on the table you can really see him na ” nagdadabog”. So unbecoming of a person of his positon. Wanting so much for the audio to work before the start of the program, I asked again for his assistance. He tried, another crew tried and even the cook tried and still the audio did not work, and they all left. What I did then, is tried my best to let it work- kinapakapa ko na lang, and it did work just in time for the program. They should have checked it beforehand because it was part of the package.
I could have ignored it, but there are so many lapses that needed attention. The foods are not evenly distributed, basta lang mailagay. The bride and groom has no food on their table. There are no serving spoon. The guests used a small plastic spoon and fork and we have to remind the crew many times for the drinks, which was served after almost everybody finished eating. Good na walang nabulunan.
I was so disappointed because I was the one who recommend chowking kabihasnan to the couple. Three years ago, we attended a wedding reception there and we were satisfied of the service. The food was served hot unlike this recent one, “napakalamig na”.
Something has to be done….

Hi Eddie – thanks for sharing your experience. If this was my wedding, I’d really freak out and demand a refund. A wedding reception is very important and it clearly shows that the staff in that branch didn’t care. That’s my frustration over service. The staff just doesn’t have any genuine concern because it’s “just a job”.

I’ve emailed their customer service department and posted the link to all the comments here by other consumers like yourself. I’ll keep everyone updated once I receive word from them.

Chowking is one of my favorite food outlets in the country, but I think the worst Chowking Branch in the world is in SM Rosales Pangasinan Branch. They are rude an inattentive to customer’s request and complaints. Try to visit the place, only few customers are eating there compared to the overwhelming customers in the adjacent place, which is Mang Inasal. Mga tiga Chowking doon, masama asal.

I ordered take out of 2 Black Gulaman last night me and my sister in law almost swallowed the metal screw inside it…so disappointing and disgusting , to think i used to be an avid fan of chowking but not anymore…I will use all avenue to make everybody know of my awful expereience…or even file a case for that matter.

Napag alaman ko na itong crew na si ROLEN MAGLALANG napag utosan ng ibang company which is competence namin sa business na sisirain yong mismong event namin na hnd naman tama yon kasi nagbabayad naman kami ng maayos at tama.Sana mabigyan nyo kaagad ng action kasi bilang organizer napapahiya ako sa mga guest ko.

This is just to let you know about what we just experience dinning in at your cubao branch near farmers market yesterday morning as me an my wife were on our way home it just so happened that we passed the said branch on our way home and decided to eat some warm soup by ordering wanton, after being served, uon sipping on the hot soup, it was not just hot but it was spicy, for me it favors my taste but how about the others like my wife??? she wasn’t able to eat it because it’s really spicy… We are a regular patron of your store and this was the first time that we have encountered such thing… This had made a dent to your company and should be rectified.. it ain’t good customer service. Someone from the said branch should be reprimanded for such thing specially the manage on duty… he/she failed to check on the quality of food they serve.

Hi Eric. I suggest you call the hotline and ask the representative that you’d like to file this complaint. Ask for the franchisee’s number as well (if it isn’t company owned). As per their process, once they receive the complaint, a manager or even the franchise owner calls the customer to resolve the issue. If it needs to be escalated (like my experience), then you’ll get to the ops manager himself. Hope this helps.

I’d like to share my experience at the Petron C5-Chowking Branch today.

I’m a regular Chowking customer and this is not the first time I encountered sanitation concerns.
I went to Chowking with my daughter to eat halo-halo before going home from the nearby BPI branch. BPI C5-Diego Silang is a few meters away from the Chowking. While lined up at the Counter my daughter decided to eat Wanton Noodles and in turn I decided to have noodles as well so I ordered Canton with upsized Coca-cola drink.

I was having fun with my daughter eating so I didn’t notice the ‘kinky/curly’ black hair that was added as an ‘extra’ garnish to my meal. Little did I know, I went on to eat and almost downed the whole serving. I was about to finish the whole meal when something odd in my plate caught my attention, so I went on to separate the ‘black Curly/Kinky’ thing from the noodles.

I called one of the crew’s attention who politely obliged to approach me at the table. I showed him what I saw and he then took the plate with the ‘curly/kinky’ hair to the kitchen. He told me that all the cooks were wearing hairnets and they were wondering where the thing came from. They even offered to replace the meal to appease me but I refused. The Store Manager did not even approach my to apologize for the incident.

I captured an image of the meal with the ‘curly/kinky’ thing including the receipt as proof and sent it to PetronC5@chowking.net. Not sure if I will get any response from the Customer Service regarding my complaint.

Thanks Imee for sharing your experience. I assume that the email they provided will go straight to the manager of the branch to address it. If this branch is owned by a franchisee, this email will go to him. I suggest to send the same email to customerfeedback@chowking.com. This goes to corporate and they have a process in place to address all concerns. Let me know how it goes and hoping that Chowking responds.

I have this not good experience once in EverGrandCentral Monumento Mall. It happened on Black Saturday at around 4:30 to 435 I think. I order a large Halo halo and Oriental Chicken worth P135. I was so definitely excited on that time because I want to taste their new menu and perhaps order more if the taste will suit my appetite. That is for take out.

After paying and the lady cashier give the number to be wait, so I sat on one vacant table. A few minutes the Halo halo came, so I still need to wait for the Chicken, but unfortunately I felt it takes more few minute to pass and I don’t even see my order on the take out table for the Chicken. That is the time I decided to follow, I approach the Guys wearing a very neat I think light blue and I believe this guy has a position because the uniform he wearing is not the same among the other. He had a fair complexion and he is tall. He did answer but not on the way the customer will be expecting. He exclaims Ano Ito! Talagang siga ang dating, oh oh nag pintig ang tenga ko noon, I approach him civil. So I just leave it there I mean I don’t mind his attitude on that moment for god sake I just need my order

That Guy just went on the take out table looking then nothing else, and the worse he never get back on me at least to inform me or go inside to follow-up the other. Bastos and attitude walang customer training… wala kang makikitang smile sa mukha nya. Mukhang na promote pamanaman yata iyon….

Again I decided to follow-up that on the manager assign on that time, sadly the manager need to go inside the kitchen to get my order and that is bad for a fast food chain.

I was so disappointed on that time, I was a regular customer of good Chow king there and I don’t expect to receive that kind of service. Please Chow king Management do something about it. Train you’re Staff on Good Customer Service or else it will ruin your store there by your no good attitude employees staff assign on store food chain.

Yesterday we ate again at chow king ever gotesco commonwealth together with my children and husband. We probably eat 3x a week there, surprisingly our last three visits sucks. We complain twice about cleanliness. Dapat malinis sila from plates/fork/spoon etc. pero grabe yung napansin nmin the last 3 visits nmin. Yung plates na nilalagyan ng pagkain marumi as in marumi kinunan ko pa ng picture para at least my evidence sa complain ko twice kami ngcomplain sa supervisor ewan pero walang ngyari. sa 4th time na ganun pa rin ang makikita ko siguro dapat lang na isumbong na kayo sa kinauukulan.

Kumain ako kahapon sa Chowking Sm bicutan. And im very disappointed. Antagal ko na kc kumakain ng Chowking products pro dahil sa laging takeout hindi ko alam na ganon ka bastos ang crew ninyo. Lalo na si MEL. yah! marami sya ginagawa pero wala sya customer service. pag kinakausap sya ay bigla nalang syang tumatalikod. Surely, wala na kung gana sa iba pang nabasa ko. im not judging but sinira nya araw ko. also my family are very disappointed.

I dined at CHOWKING MCU earlier today!! The food server/handler has a bad case of flu, if not, it might be colds or allergy. He keeps on sniffing as he walk around the store serving food, drinks, plates and utensils to different customers. What disgusted and alarmed me the most was that he keeps on wiping his nose and still holds on to plates/dishes being served. I know most people would dine in a fastfood or restaurant because they have full trust that the quality and food-handling is safe, clean and dependable. If they could be that careless infront of the customers, how much more if they are in the kitchen where no customers could see whats happening inside. I didnt get the chance to complain to the manager since she would most of the time be in the kitchen and I needed to go home right after my meal. So when I got home, I posted this concern in their facebook fan page, the CHOWKING PH account, and to my disappointment, the ADMIN just deleted it and ignored it. not one representative or whoever addressed my concern. I guess they were so afraid other people might read my message. IM REALLY DISAPPOINTED at Chowking! really!!

every other day me and my family always go to walter mart tanauan (nearest mall in our place)just to treat my wife and my daughter we normally go to jollibee because of my daughter(she love’s chicken and spaghetti)…but last july 11 2011 we decided to try a different menu and atmosphere and so we go to your branch here in tanauan walter mart as i notice from the start we come in only few crew member are working 1 cashier 1 dinning crew 1 incharge from the drinks 1 supervisor and kitchen i don’t know….well to continue as order our food for my family we were inform that the fried chicken that we ordered will be served after 15 min. so we say its ok co’z that’s what my daughter favorite we look for a table to dine,its start to disappoint me when i look at the table it was clean but a lot of smudges left in the table we try to call the attention of the crew but he’s a little bit bC clearing up the table for the next costumer to dine as our order arrived (w/out the chicken) we started to have our dinner and my 2 year old daughter start to ask where is my chicken and so we gave her something to eat until her order come….in a few min it come as i started to pealed the chicken i notice the middle part of the chicken is uncooked because of the presence blood which mean it was cook in an instant coz it was cooked in the out side and not in the inside i try to look for the supervisor to let her/him knows what happen but i haven’t seen her/him so t decided to let the crew knows about it they took the chicken and that’s it as we finished our dinner and still there is no chicken to come back i again approach the cashier and ask what happen to the my concern she call the supervisor NICA and ask me what happen well i ask her back what happen coz her staff didn’t even inform her what our concern was, as she heard about our concern she told us that that chicken will be re-fryed or she’s going to check if there’s an available chicken for us….its already to late coz were done our dinner and about to leaved….its was a disappointing night it was to far in regards to service from jollibee communication is one of the aspects need to that branch and a little bit of cleanliness….i’ve wrote this concern not to put you down but to improve thank you very much and god bless !!!

Thank you Josue for sharing. It is this blog’s interest to let the companies know their customer’s experience within the establishments, primarily the same reason you stated in your comment. We all want business processes to be improved so that we have better service. Thank you for mentioning it in your post. Am hoping that Chowking management will acknowledge and do something to better their services. I’m sure they are. :-)

every time i go to manila i always eat at chowking specially the noodles they’re my favorite at chowking’s but i was disaapointed 1 time i ate in chowking san andres cor. m.h. del pilar malate its operated by yj holdings corp. the vegetable that they put in the noodles the bok choy has already yellowish and black color in it. i have taken a picture of it.i can send it if they wanna see it i hope that they will have to look into this it will ruin the company’s name.

I had a horrible experience with chowking here in Bacolod City specifically their riverside branch. Their task was to deliver the food to my clients that I already paid a day before. I was not aware that the crew and the manager has not endorse it to the one in charge the following day. So i was expecting it to be worry free and to surprise my clients for the food, it turned out to be a disaster! On that shed day At first I called the branch just to check the delivery, I was disappointed to hear that the details I gave yesterday was not properly endorse to the manager on duty and they did not fully understand it. In fact i already explain the details which can be understood by a 9 year old child. And the food was not prepared prior to the delivery time. Worse was that the delivery boy and the manager on duty on that day was not aware that the food was already paid and turned out that my clients were asked by the delivery boy to pay for the food.Grrrr!!!!It was supposed to be a surprise breakfast. So instead of having pogi points to my clients it turned out to be a shame on my part. Although the branch apologized and instantly informed their delivery boy but the damage has been done. I hope that this incident will not happen again. But I’m really sure that the riverside branch will not get any transactions from me again….

I have the worst experience in CHOWKING ROBINSONS FORUM especially after talking with the manager THESS TALBA. I was deprived from claiming my BPI reward for using an EPS. I have the coupon as proof I have used the EPS system and my debit card for them to verify but they didn’t accept it for the reason that the details in the coupon were semi-erased but the trace of the card number and the amount is still readable. Now the manager explained to me that it was an internal agreement between the BPI and Chowking that they must not accept semi-erased coupons even though thay can still read the details of it. Now the big question is, is that internal agreement supported by documents? It is because when I have read the mechanics which is posted just near the cashier it was not putted there that you can just deny any coupon if you think it is semi-erased. Second, you didn’t show as well in the mechanics what is the picture of the coupon that you will only accept to substantiate your claim that the coupon is void. Third, is it the fault of the customer that they are only given carbon paper for the receipt/coupon? It is not all the time I’m available to claim the reward. In totality, I just hope that the management should post as well that SPECIAL rule in their mechanics to clarify the customers that they can be deprived of claiming the reward which was given to BPI customers.

The incident transpired yesterday August 30, 2011. My family made a stop at Chowking Shell Mamplasan branch to have lunch. We are a regular customers of the said branch coz everytime we go to Manila we always take our meal at the said branch. Sad to say, we will never eat at that branch anymore not until the Main Office replace the disrespectful Manager Ms. Jonalyn Manlolo. I will make a campaign to all my friends not to go to your mamplasan branch because of your unkind, unfriendly and disrespectful manager Jonalyn Manlolo.

Several instances happened yesterday with your Manager, Ms. Jonalyn MAnlolo of Chowking Shell Mamplasan Branch.

First, my daughter ordered an asado siopao which was served very cold. Apparently, my daughter approached your manager Ms. Jonalyn Manlolo to ask her if they could still warm the siopao… Your manager Ms. Jonalyn Manlolo, made faced on my daughter who just let it passed. Second, I asked for a plastic cup to transfer my pineapple juice which I did not finished drinking. She gave me a small plastic cup. I made an excused if she could change it to a bigger one and put some ice too. She took back the small plastic cup and threw it over on the side where she got it. Wow! What an attitude… A manager, and leader of the group??? What would be the attitude then of her staff if they sees that their Manager Jonalyn is not that accommodating with the customer? Is that the kind of managerial training that the Main Office is giving? Where is the quality Service that you have to give to your customer? So, disappointing…..

I suggest to call the attention of the head office (operations) to check whether that branch is a franchise or company owned. Usually if it’s a franchisee, the owner is called to take care of the situation. Thanks LBB for sharing your experience. I’m confident that the main office will do something to fix it, though it might take time, since the possible root cause might be training related. We can always speculate, but am hoping management still reads the comments here to arrive at a solution.

to customer service of chow king, what a bad day for me about my experience in your branch at emilio aguinaldo highway in Dasmarinas Cavite ( front of waltermart dasma). Iam totally disappointed with the guard on duty with a lastname Sanchez R S at 12:30 pm having an arrogant attitude toward customers. In fact Iam complaining about his offensive question and disrespect to me about the gesture and the tone of his voice that reflects how arrogant he is the about if mag oorder ako questining the number of minutes that i stayed in that branch wherein i take my late breakfast in that branch and waiting my co medidical representative i for a lunch that branch. As a regular customer maybe i can say that Iam loyal customer because i always prefer taking my breakfast lunch or snacks in different branches here in south luzom . Regards with what happen i hope that you will call the attention of branch e4milio aguinaldo highway to give an instruction about their guard to give simple respect to the customers. Wherin when ill try to see his name in his your uniform talaga nagyabang pa. hope that you will help to improve guards relation to customer in that branch emilio aguinaldo highway dasmarinas cavite.

When I got home and opened the styro box, it only has 1pc fried chiken, 6 pcs chicharon and rice! I payed right you should do your jobs right. I mean, I can barely eat it thinking na kulang ang binigay sakin! What was given to me was 1pcs amounting to P 75.00 lng. I sent a text to have it delivered and as of the moment, nothing’s hapenning. I already ate the first pack I got, so it wasn’t a replacement, they gave the fried chicken luriat for free and free delivery charge. Way to go Chowking Market! Market!(1310)! Good job!!

We order a Family Set A for (3 Person) amounting to P315.00 the order are composed of Pancit, Rice, Buchi, Chicarap, Chicken and Regular Coke for take out. We had an additional of 2 Halo-halo. The disappointment was on the order of the SET A BECAUSE IT WAS CLEARLY STATED THAT IT WAS FOR THREE PERSONS BUT AND IT WAS ALSO ENCRYPTED IN THE BOTTOM OF THE PICTURED MEAL. HOW COME THE PANCIT INCLUDED ON THE SET A MEAL WAS JUST FOR ONE PERSON. YOU SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT IS TOO DECEIVING ON THE PART OF YOUR CUSTOMERS. I already talked to the Manager and told me that “Ganoon daw talaga yon.” As a very disappointed consumer I also called your delivery hotline to inform Ms. Mae Hernandez about it over the phone and she told me that they will advise me that they will give me a call upon informing the said Chowking Branch about my complaint and I also told her that I need feedback regarding my complaint she told me that they will callback for updates but until this day NOVEMBER 12, 2011 I haven received any call from them as promised. After gym workout, me and may friends usually visit Chowking-Insular Bldg (nr Paseo Ayala Ave.) This happend only last friday, November 11, 2011 we dined again in the said Chowking branch. When our food were delivered (good for 8persons), a glass of soda was accidentaly fell due to space constraints of the the branch. I politely ask the dining personnel named “VHEM” if it is possible that the soda be replaced since it fell and the customer was not able to consume it. VHEM, sarcastically replied, “BAKIT PO NAMIN PAPALITAN EH HINDI NAMAN KAMI ANG NAKATAPON”!. We looked at each other upon hearing his comment. I did’nt retaliated since we just came from our late evening workout and all we wanna do it eat. I just requested VHEM so give me some water since they could no longer replace the soda. Forty five (45)mins passed and we’re ready to go but no water was served to us. We love chowking for the food and affordable prices, but to be treated like this but you dining crew is simply disgusting. We hope you take a look into this and remind your crew that we are paying customers and should be treated well. Thanks and more power!!!

i don’t know how to get in touch with chowking’s head office so i decided to write here.
anyway, let me just tell you first that your food is great. me and my kids, we love it. really.
however, i was a bit shocked and disappointed to find out na “out of stock ang chili sauce – systemwide”. well at least that’s what your staff in chowking daily supermarket told me when we dined in last nov23. bday kasi ng daughter ko and she wanted to eat there. medyo hard to believe in. chili sauce, out of stock systemwide ang chowking? the truth is, i’m a regular guest either sa daily or sa hitop. i’m always satisfied with the people at hitop. pero sa daily, quite some experiences already na medyo disappointing. but i still keep on coming back kasi masarap ang food. out of stock din ang pork tofu. tofu lang ang available.(this happened quite a lot of times na to me at daily). to top that all, i always see the manager just sitting at the dining area, holding her cellphone. or just simply looking around. kahit the line is 2-3 persons deep na. sad.

Just now, I ordered online. Something was wrong with the chowking website so one of their staff called me. I told her that I couldn’t hear her properly. She repeated her order, and then suddenly HUNG UP on me without letting me finish what I was going to say. I sent her a text saying “ano ba yan binabaan lang ako” but didn’t get an apology. She apparently ignored it and sent another text to “please confirm your order.”. So I sent her another text telling her I was cancelling my order. No reply. Not even an apology.

My mom has just been treated like a criminal at Chowking 168 in divisoria. She ordered and like the usual antics, they have given her a number. That was just today around 12:05pm and she waited. Its almost 1pm and her order is still not delivered to her so she approached the counter. She was standing there calling the attention of the crew but no one even bothered to attend to her. When she finally saw one of the officer (a manager, I guess) she called him and explained the situation. Then the manager simply looked at her and said, there’s no order in the kitchen for that number. His exact words are ” SIGURADO BA KYONG SA INYO TONG NUMBER NA TO?”. WTF!!!! My mom is a decent woman and this is what she gets? I will definitely visit that branch this weekend and I will demand an explanation from that manager a certain RICO Unigo and cashier JOHN. I will also bring this up to their corporate office..

Hi Bogs. Oh my! That is unacceptable. Just as a note. They will go through the franchise owner (if branch is not corporate owned) to fix the issue. If not fixed or if you’re not happy, go straight to their operations manager from corporate. I had a personal experience previously and the corporate office helped. Very happy with the resolution.

Good day, gusto ko lang po sana ireport ung nangyari kahapon December 25 2011 at chowking BLUE WAVE branch @ Macapagal cor. EDSA ext., pumnta po kaming pamilya sa branch nyo para kumain at pagdating po namin doon e madami na pong tao sa 1st floor, so sa 2nd floor po kame pumwesto at 3 family lang po kaming nandun, we take our orders around 20:22 na nakaprint dun sa receipt nyo, bago po kame umorder ay nag advice ung cashier na it will take for about 15-20 minutes to serve our food, so we decided to wait and take our orders and the cashier gave us a number which is #75, but its already 9pm and our orders/food was still not served to us so I decided to follow up our order. I ask the crew to follow up our order, and we waited for another 10 minutes, and then my wife decided to go downstairs to personaly follow up our orders. She saw a woman who holds a number and making a follow up to her order surprisingly she holds a number which is same with ours which is #75. so umakyat sya at sinabi nya sa akin so we decided to ask somebody about the incident, alam po naming busy sila kasi madami po ang demand nyo tpos konti lang ung mga crew but still your crew specially the supervisor must deal with us regarding our inquiry. pero anong ginawa nila? dedma silang lahat halos limang minuto kameng nagantay para may kumausap sa amin para sa mga tanong namin at sa mga orders namin na nde pa dumadating, lahat ng kausapin namin e parang walang nadidinig, so nagtaas na kame ng boses at yun pinansin kame bigla, at nang sabihin namin na parehas kame ng number at halos parehas kame ng orders ang pinagkaiba lang e ung sa amin e may chicharap at separate na pork chow fan e nagulat sila, at lumipas ang 3-5 minuto e wala nanamang pumapansin sa amin, so we decided na irefund nlang ung mga orders naming pamilya, tska pa lang kame kinausap nung suprvisor o manager nyo ba un na si MHEL o NHEL, nagmakaawa sya na wag nang irefund ung orders namin kasi sa kanya macharge un, pero nagmatigas kame kasi sa mga pinaggagawa nila sa amin na parang wala silang nakikita at nadidinig tpos kung kelan kame magrefund at magkakaroon ng kabawasan sa kanila e tksa lang kame aasikasuhin? wala kameng proof na nagyari to pero alam ko mattrace ninyo na merong nagrefund sa branch na un around 9:30-10pm december 25, 2011. Grabe ung mga crew nyo, may mga proper training ba yan? alam ko mahirap ung ginagawa nila pero sana naman ilagay naman nila ung sapatos nila sa sapatos naming mga customers na gutom na gutom na, I’m with my 3yrs old daughter that time, nde pa sya nakapag dinner when all this happened, at sana s mga cashiers naman e maging honest sila, nde ung tanggap lang ng tanggap ng customer tpos gahol na gahol na ang mga crew sa mga ginagawa nila, alam nyo nde namam ako mahirap kausap e,ung pagaattend lang sa mga questions namin e ok na sa akin pero ung dedmahin nyo lang ung mga customers nyo e nde ata tama un, respeto lang po sana sa mga customers.

just want to share my very bad experience sa chowking-manila east road taytay (fronting CME gate). dec. 20, 2011 i made a reservation ng function room nila para sa baptismal ng aking anak sa dec. 30, 2011. ang kausap ko that time ay ang manager na si Jay. ang reservation ko ay good for 30 persons; 15 orders of chinese chicken lauriat, 15 orders of orange chicken lauriat, 30 orders of siopao, 30 orders of shanghai and 30 orders of halo-halo. ang agreement, if there’s an additional guests or kung lalagpas sa 30, so additional orders. so yung mga inorder ko na food ay dapat i-serve as 1 lauriat, 1 siopao, 1 shanghai and 1 halo-halo bawat isang guest. as per suggestion din ni jay na if may banner at mga loot bags or give-aways kami, pwede ko daw dalhin sa branch before the event para ma-arrange daw nila. so, a day before the event, dinala ko yung banner at give-aways na tinanggap naman ng isang crew. on the day of the event, around 11:30am i called the branch to inform them na papunta na kami at kung pwede na nila i-serve yung food kc 12NN ang oras ng reservation. pagdating namin sa venue, nakaayos lang yung mga spoon and fork sa mga table, yung banner nakalagay na sa wall but yung mga give-aways nakalagay pa rin sa supot na iniwan ko sa kanila at nakapatong sa mesa. hindi naman nila inayos, so kami na ng pinsan ko ang nag-ayos. i approached the lady manager assigned that day and told her na yung lumagpas na guests sa reserved na 30 ay iserved din ng kung anong orders ko sa reservation. she informed me naman na ganitong lauriat lang ang available at pumayag ako and i asked her to count all the guests including the kids. yung 12NN na reservation ay hindi nasunod kc halos mag-1pm na sila nag-serve ng food. di ba dapat, khit may additional guests, yung naunang reservation na 30 foods for 30 persons, ay nakahanda na at dapat iserved ng 12NN? pa-isa2 ang dating ng pagkain. hindi kumpletuhing iserved ang isang buong mesa, pinipili ng crew na nag-served. ang interval pa ng dating ng pagkain ay 10 to 15 minutes or more. pagdating ng siopao at halo-halo, mga bata lang ang binigyan. kami na nagpa-reserved ang huling nabigyan ng pagkain at halos 2pm na yun. pagdating ng bayaran, ang gulo ng computation ng lady manager, ni hindi siya sure sa mga na-served na pagkain. tanong siya ng tanong sa crew. hindi pala niya nirerecord bawat food na pinapadala niya sa function room. magulo kc paisa-isa ang hatid ng pagkain, may mga kasabayan pang order ng ibang customer. ang una niyang computation ay 38 chinese chicken lauriat, 26 orange chicken, etc. ang total ng lauriat ay 64 plates. ang guests ay 52 lang. so nagkaroon ng usap-usap, tanong dito, tanong dun, hanggang mag-come up sa 30 chinese chicken, 24 orange chicken total of 54 (2 were take out na kc tapos na ang kainan bago nadala yung 2 plates), 30 siopao, 30 shanghai at 30 halo-halo. then tinanong namin siya bakit hindi lahat nabigyan ng siopao at halo-halo. ang sagot ng lady manager ang pagkakaintindi daw niya ayon kay jay ay para sa mga bata ang siopao. ang sabi ko wala akong instruction na ganun at kung lumagpas sa 30 ang guests, additional na lang ako. syempre kung anong food na nakalaan sa 30 persons na nireserved ko, dapat iyon din ang pagkain na iserved sa additional guests. yung lady manager nakuha pang mangatwiran, pinagsasabihan na nga na marami ang di nakakain ng ganito tapos lagpas na sa reserved time yung serving nila, installment pa ang pag-served, nangatwiran pa na kc napaaga daw kami ng dating. aba kahit naman 11:40am kami dumating, 12NN naman ang reservation nung party, so dapat yung naunang reserved na 30 food order ay naserved agad. imagine halos mag-ala una na siya nagpa-serve ng pagkain, ang una pang dineliver ay drinks, then after 30 minutes ay halo-halo. lunch time, iyon ang unang na-served na food. nakakadalang magpa-reserve ulit dyan sa CHOWKING-MANILA EAST ROAD TAYTAY, RIZAL (NEW TAYTAY MARKET). mahina ang kukote ng manager. ipag-seminar ninyo ulit. kulang sa training hindi lang siya, pati mga crews. bakit kayo nagha-hire ng mga managers na kulang sa kakayahan at logical thinking?

Walang lasa parang kanian lamig lang walng kasamang anung kundi itlog,, unlike to other branch like in Mega,mall Mall of asia they serve chao pan rice na masarap at babalikan mo but in this Branch twice ako bumili still di masarap. I am peeved by Chowking’s aftersale service in its Grace Park (0974) branch. I purchased chicken mami, chicken chao fan, and pineapple juice, around 3:20 pm with receipt no. 07357896 today Feb. 1, 2012.

I came all the way from Davao City, checked out of hotel as early as 8:30 am. You can imagine how tired I am after arriving from the airport and I don’t want to part with my bags with valuables inside.

Finally seated for a late lunch, I just asked for the waiter to give me spoon and fork when my order was served. It is just a few steps, maybe five steps from my table. Your waiter just pointed to me where to get. Simple task. Para bang mababawasan ang pagkalalaki nya kung ikukuha nya ako ng kutsara at tinidor.

Quite a contrast to Tropical Hut. Yung mga waiters dun, tinitingnan kung nakakuha na o nakalimutang kumuha ng kutsara at tinidor. Pag wala, when they serve the food, it is served with spoon and fork. You don’t even have to ask. In Chowking, parang mababawasan ang pagkalalaki ng waiter pag siya ang kumuha ng kutsara at tinidor.

Impression: Chowking is just after sales. After sale service is of no concern. Anyway, the customer has paid.

But it may take time if ever I eat again in Chowking. E paano kaya kung me dala akong bata? Simple task of getting spoon and fork, di pa kayang ibigay sa customer. Kaya siguro nagsara ang inyong 10th Avenue corner Mabini branch is because of such poor after sale service.

Last week me and my family,nagpunta kami sa sm sta. rosa branch,lunch then nagdecide kami maglunch sa chowking,habang hinihintay namin ang order na food,,sister ko kumuha ng mga spoon at fork,napansin ng sister ko mga ilang kutsara ay di gaanong hugas,ibig sabihing hindi masyadong hugas,andun pa yung natuyo nang kanin, it means natigang na ung kanin,,may puti-puti pa yung kutsara,sana bago nila ilabas ang utensils,, icheck muna nila maigi,what if ang ibang tao pa makapuna,o sadya pa di pa napupuna ng iba,,i hope maaksyunan agad ng management.huwag na sanang maulit pa, na pagbalik pa ulit namin,meron na naman,,tnx,,,,,god bless!

It has a low customer service. I ordered chef bowl for my dinner, and it took for almost 15mins. because they served the Chinese visitor first than the person who arrived early. (included me) and when I got my order its really bloody (a fresh blood) It should be well done because I was waiting for so long. And I approached the Branch Manager and I ask him if he can eat that kind of food. Instead saying sorry, he get my bowl and he approached one of the waiter and said “Bloody pa oh?” blah blah blah (i don’t know the next sentence he said) and it took ,for almost 10-15mins. again, and when my order arrived again, its really TOASTED (SUNOG TALAGA!!!) Do you think you can eat it? I’ve waited for almost half hour just to have that kind of meal? The Manager never approached me or giving some empathy, even the waiter who served my order. So what I did I threw all the utensils even the food I got. I’m very disappointed !! I was shaking because I’m very starved that time, and no one who approached me even they heard that I threw all the things infront of me. They’re all nuts !!

Magpapa-deliver sana ako ng chicken lauriat meal with siomai from Chowking. I requested na magdala sila ng toyomansi and chili para sa siomai. When they called me, they wanted to charge me 6php for the chili, and 6php for the toyomansi. So, pag di mo sila binayaran, magtiyaga ka sa siomai na walang sawsawan. Kala ko ba “Sulit” sa chowking?

Ngayon lang ako na dissapoint sa chowking. Hindi lang sa food pati sa manager on duty namely Cariza. Manager ng chowking araneta square monumento.. Not all products are available.. And yet sobrang lamig ng food na isinerve samin… What’s worse is nung pina refund nalang namen at sobrang tagal ng serving time eh pinagbayad pa kame para sa dalawang reg.soda na hindi naman namen nagalaw.. The manager cannot handle a complain.. Paano siya nakapasa kung cmpleng customer service eh hindi niya magawa?? Am so upset… Nakakawalang gana..

Im a resident of Bacolod City ,British , living with my wife there. We often eat out around the city. Last thursday we visited your Chow King branch at Giasano City Mall in Bacolod for the first time. From your web site i see you have a rating system. My rating for that particular Chow King is From A to E , I give a 7. Id give an 8 if you had one.

The food was well presented , tasty and at the perfect temprature. The staff were excellent and couldnt do enough for us. Always geniunely smiling. It was pleasant and clean.

Ive avoided eating there before because its nearly always full. Now I know why. Its better to wait a moment for good food , than to go somewhere which has many empty tables. That reflects the popularity of a place.

I spoke to the manager and gave my compliments , but felt i should write to let you know what great work your people are doing there. A credit to Chow King. Ill certainly be going back there often.

The manager was so young ( i must be getting old ) but she had everything under control , with a kind manner. I know about management and , she has great potential.

All in all , a very nice dining experience. Thank you so much for your services.

Naging staff nya ang kapatid ko and my 2 cousins napakaworse ng experience nila s manager nayon. lahat ng staff nya ay nakakaexperienced ng pananakit at panlalait nya, last night lng sinampal nya ng pera ang sister ko dahil na short sya ng 100 at pinapahanap sya ng pera ganon din ang ginagawa nya s ibang cashier. nakakaexperienced cla ng binabatukan cla. sobra n ang pangaalipin n ginagawa nya s mga staffs nya. I am also s manager and 7 years in service pero never akong ngslita ng hndi mgnda s staff ko. wla png 1 month a sister ko pero pero sobrng terrible n ang ngyari s knya s kamay ng demonyong manager n yon. hndi ako titigil hnggat wala kayong ginagawang action at ipprating ko ito s labor department! you are giving a good customer service and how how come that the manager giving a bad service to her staffs. don’t let that kind of manager to break the reputation of your company. hoping for your immediate action. thank you.

My friend and I went to dine at chowking dimasalang at about 11pm, April 29, 2012. We ordered 1 pancit canton and 2 halohalo, 1 for dine in and the other to go. The counter person said “sir ihahatid ko na lang po yung order ninyo.” So we went to a table to for two. After a while dumating ang order. Walang table napkin at spoons and fork. I quipped: “pano kakainin ito…kakamayin.” The one who delivered the foods did not say any word. I called up the manager who, at that time, was near the entry door. I asked him kung practice ba ng store nila ang maghatid ng foods without utensils. Sinasabi naman daw ng counter persons kung nasaan ang utensils. I said: “walang sinabi yung nasa counter…wala rin namang tray na ibinigay…so kung sakali at nasabi niya kung saan makukuha ang utensils e di hawak hawak ko kutsara at tinidor habang naghihintay…” Sabi ni manager: “pwede naman daw i-request sa naghatid ng order. I said: “hindi ba ubos oras at effort ng crew ninyo and magpabalik-balik…at bakit kailangang magre-”request” ng utensils…hindi ba kasama sa pagkain ang gumamit ng utensils?” I also said: “Hindi ba mas maganda na pag-ihahatid ang order na foods e idamay na ang utensils sa tray since dadaanan naman ng maghahatid…para hindi na babalik ang crew…at hintay na naman ang customer…hindi ba pinapagod ninyo ang crew sa bagay na pwedeng maging madali?” The manager answered: “Ganun po sir ang instruction sa amin at hayaan ninyo at pararatingin ko sa management.” Wala yata maisagot na definite and manager kaya parang init na init na kausap ako…kaya he immediately left without any apology.
Many times I had many complaints…I don’t like managers or supervisors calling them “concerns”…I mean “complaints” and I don’t think it is realistic for any one not connected to the resto to have “concerns”…obvious ba?
I guess the big bosses of chowking should try eating in their own restaurant…of course they should be in disguise…para malaman nila how good or bad their service is…which sila ang nag-iisip ng ways at sila rin ang nagpapa-implement…I guess they would know how their system and style work either for good or bad. The crews will only follow what they order…so I guess it’s the management’s responsibility of whatever the store people will do.
