JM - aaaah airport taxis. Yes, they cost an arm and a leg. I guess the extra 2,000 is for maintaining the cab since it's always well kept so they use more expensive spare parts and labor? I'm just assuming of course. Hmm...that gives me an idea. Why not interview airport taxi cabs on their business model or "boundary".

hehehe! How about those taxi cabs at the airports? The fare for one passenger from the airport all the way to Fairview using the best aircon bus there is, is roughly about P50 only. Also, i interviewed a number of taxi driver how much it usually costs from the same point of departures and destinations, they all said the same thing- P300 maximum. Guess how much do those taxi cab drivers at the airport charges? A WHOPPING P2,000. Creepy isn't it?

Everytime I ride a cab, I feel like I am being robbed BIG TIME. Yes, it is quite expensive but being cheated on the fare is different. Take for example my recent ride. I rode a cab at Eastwood, my destination was only to Katipunan. There was no traffic then and it was easy driving. You know how much the meter came out? P80.

Also, Ive riden a cab a few times from our house in E. Rodriguez Ave. to Katipunan. I knew how much the meter should come out, around P90 or even less. Just the other day, the cab's meter was already on P100 and we were Xavierville palang.

Grabe na ngayon. Parang lahat ng cab drivers mandaraya na.

@PTR.. not anymore. count these R&E taxi franchise out. One taxi driver made my blood rose so high that in a snap I banged the taxi door (I know it's a strong one but it won't keep that door from breaking, my apologies for that). Reason: he was asking for additional P30 on my way to Ortigas from Kamuning EDSA that cost P85. So adding the P30 makes my fare P110 in total. Dahil daw ma-trapik! I ride the taxi everyday in going to and from work. Pero naman! It's always traffic in EDSA. UVC 526 is the plate # of that R&E taxi. How come I am able to ride in some taxis who are honest enough to pick me up without asking for additional payment? And these are small taxi franchises for goodness sake.
