Lord of the Flies

Post Thumbnail of Lord of the Flies

This is a guest post by Lois Yasay.
My colleagues and I were having a dinner meeting at Conti’s Pastry Shop and Restaurant at their Serendra Branch. We absolutely adore their cakes and that’s the reason we decided on that restaurant. Halfway through our Mango Bravos and Choco Walnut Tortes, we …

Starbucks Customer Voice Program

I visited Starbucks at Pearl drive last night for a meeting. It was packed considering it was 10pm at night. Not much of a surprise since it is close to the call centers in the area.

This post isn’t about my food experience but about how their food is served, specifically the plastic cup that contained their Nai-Cha drink. This cup almost brought me to the hospital (or at least a small jagged piece).

A Commendation for KFC

Post Thumbnail of A Commendation for KFC

Last August 6, I posted a complaint on KFC’s Facebook fan page.  On that very same day, their Customer Care Team sent me a private message asking for my information details.  I immediately replied and was promised to be contacted by one of their team members.  On August 11, Ms. …

Bagoong Club – What Service Should Be

BAGOONG CLUB is not a high class expensive restaurant. In fact for those who have tried it, it actually is very reasonable. However, I have rarely gotten the kind of service we received from BAGOONG CLUB even from very expensive establishments.

Berting’s – Simple but Cozy

A fresh face in the restaurant scene recently opened in the Food Alley of the Ortigas Home depot strip – Berting’s Grill. With very simple designs and fixtures, Berting’s draw is not the ambiance but the good food and drinks – and of course the company. Its specialty is LECHON MANOK freshly grilled instead of the usual roasted method. They also have the usual fare of fried tilapia and liempo.

Panciteria Lido: A Twist to the Famous Old Tradition

I’ve recently been introduced to Panciteria Lido located at the Capital Towers along E. Rodriguez in New Manila. The name sounded familiar and true enough, it was one of those restaurants that my family went to in Binondo, Manila.
Since 1936, this establishment has been serving customers their famous Pugon Roasted Asado and an assortment of Chinese dishes.

Pepper Lunch Assistant Manager’s “best”

I have always enjoyed eating at Pepper Lunch whether at the Power Plant Mall (Rockwell) or at Edsa Shangrila. But I always knew that their “order at the counter” style will be a cause of a lot of problems.

Buddy's Prohibits Long Staying Customers

After my trip to the bank, I went to Buddy’s Pancit Lucban restaurant at the Tycoon Center in Ortigas. It’s been such a long time since I ate in this restaurant, remembering it was my lunch spot years ago in Makati. My hubby misses their food and I, too, wanted to remember why it was my usual place to dine.

Behrouz Timog: Service is Terrible!

Post Thumbnail of Behrouz Timog: Service is Terrible!
 Restaurants,Your Customer Voice 8 November 2009

When I eat at any restaurant, my standards would normally change depending on the first impression that establishment has set.  If I go to a food stall or cafeteria, I only expect the basics.  If I order at a hotel, then it’s obvious my standards are higher.

So, what happens when …
